About the Course

Argentario Golf Club

Argentario Golf Club was designed by David Mezzacane and opened in 2000. It is set on the Monte Argentario promontory above Porto Ercole — one of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in Italy — and is widely regarded as the most dramatically situated golf course in Tuscany, with views across the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Tuscan Archipelago.

The course plays to 6,600 yards from the championship tees and is characterised by the coastal terrain, the Mediterranean vegetation, the sea views, and Mezzacane's masterful routing across the promontory. The design creates a series of visually spectacular and strategically demanding holes that work with the natural coastal terrain — offering views across the Tyrrhenian Sea that are among the most beautiful in Italian golf.

Argentario Golf Club is part of the Argentario Golf Resort & Spa — a luxury resort set on the Monte Argentario promontory. The combination of the world-class golf, the Mediterranean coastal setting, the luxury resort, and the proximity to Porto Ercole creates one of the most complete golf and travel experiences in Italy.

Tyrrhenian Sea Views

The combination of the world-class golf and the extraordinary coastal setting creates a visual experience of great distinction.

II

Monte Argentario Setting

III

Coastal Finale

Argentario provides the perfect coastal finale to a Tuscan golf programme. After the inland estate experiences of Castiglion del Bosco and La Bagnaia, the Mediterranean setting of Argentario creates a dramatic and memorable conclusion to the Italian golf journey.

IV

Porto Ercole

The course sits above Porto Ercole — one of the most beautiful and exclusive coastal towns in Italy. The combination of the golf, the coastal town, and the broader Monte Argentario landscape creates a travel experience of exceptional Italian coastal quality.
