Porto Ercole, Monte Argentario, Tuscany, Italy
Perched above the Tyrrhenian Sea on the Monte Argentario promontory — Argentario Golf Club is Italy's most dramatically situated coastal course, combining world-class golf with one of the Mediterranean's most beautiful natural settings.
About the Course
Argentario Golf Club was designed by David Mezzacane and opened in 2000. It is set on the Monte Argentario promontory above Porto Ercole — one of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in Italy — and is widely regarded as the most dramatically situated golf course in Tuscany, with views across the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Tuscan Archipelago.
The course plays to 6,600 yards from the championship tees and is characterised by the coastal terrain, the Mediterranean vegetation, the sea views, and Mezzacane's masterful routing across the promontory. The design creates a series of visually spectacular and strategically demanding holes that work with the natural coastal terrain — offering views across the Tyrrhenian Sea that are among the most beautiful in Italian golf.
Argentario Golf Club is part of the Argentario Golf Resort & Spa — a luxury resort set on the Monte Argentario promontory. The combination of the world-class golf, the Mediterranean coastal setting, the luxury resort, and the proximity to Porto Ercole creates one of the most complete golf and travel experiences in Italy.
