About the Course
Royal Óbidos Golf Course
Royal Óbidos Golf Course was designed by Christy O'Connor Jr. and opened in 2010 as part of the Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort. It is one of the most modern championship courses on the Silver Coast, offering panoramic views across the Óbidos lagoon and the Atlantic from many of its holes.
The course plays to 6,700 yards from the championship tees and is characterised by wide fairways, strategic bunkering, and large, undulating greens. The design takes advantage of the natural terrain — the rolling hills above the lagoon — to create a series of holes with dramatic elevation changes and exceptional views. The conditioning is consistently excellent throughout the year.
Royal Óbidos is managed by the Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort — a modern luxury hotel with a full spa, multiple restaurants, and direct access to the course. The combination of the championship golf, the spa facilities, and the natural beauty of the Óbidos lagoon makes this one of the most complete golf resort experiences on the Silver Coast.
