Trump International Golf Links – Championship Course
Trump International Golf Links opened in 2012 on a spectacular stretch of duneland at Balmedie, north of Aberdeen, on the Aberdeenshire coast. Designed by Martin Hawtree, the course was built among some of the most dramatic dune formations in Scotland — massive natural sand hills that rise to over 100 feet and create a landscape of extraordinary scale and visual power.
The course stretches to over 7,400 yards from the championship tees and plays through, over, and around the dune formations, with the North Sea visible throughout. The routing makes full use of the natural topography, with elevated tees, blind shots, and natural valleys that create a round of genuine drama and challenge. The wind off the North Sea is a constant presence and a constant factor in every decision.
Trump International Golf Links has hosted the Scottish Open and is widely regarded as one of the finest modern links courses in Scotland. It is part of the Trump Hotels portfolio and offers a complete resort experience alongside the MacLeod House & Lodge, making it one of the most compelling golf destinations in the north of Scotland.
