About the Course

Verdura East Course

The Verdura East Course was designed by Kyle Phillips and opened in 2009 as the flagship layout of the Verdura Resort — a Rocco Forte property set within 230 hectares of private estate on the south-west coast of Sicily. It is consistently ranked among the finest resort courses in Europe and stands as one of the most visually spectacular golf experiences on the Mediterranean.

The East Course runs along the Sicilian coastline, with the azure Mediterranean as a constant companion throughout the round. Phillips used the natural terrain to create a routing of great variety and visual drama — from the opening holes that establish the coastal character to the closing stretch that delivers some of the most memorable golf in Italy. The course plays to 7,100 yards from the championship tees and demands both power and precision.

The conditioning at Verdura is exceptional — the resort's commitment to course quality is evident in every aspect of the playing experience. The East Course is the centrepiece of the Verdura golf programme, paired with the West Course for a complete championship rotation within the same estate.
