About the Course

Aloha Golf Club

Aloha Golf Club was designed by the celebrated Spanish architect Javier Arana and opened in 1975. Set in the heart of Nueva Andalucía's golf valley, the course is one of the most respected private clubs on the Costa del Sol — known for its immaculate conditioning, its dramatic lake features, and the refined atmosphere of its clubhouse.

The course plays to 6,250 yards from the championship tees and features a series of holes built around a large central lake that comes into play on several of the most memorable holes. The design rewards accuracy and course management, with the lake providing both a visual spectacle and a genuine strategic challenge throughout the round.

Aloha has hosted the Spanish Open on multiple occasions and is regarded as one of the finest parkland courses in southern Spain. Its location in the golf valley, adjacent to Los Naranjos and Las Brisas, makes it an ideal component of any multi-course Costa del Sol programme.

Why It Stands Out

I

Javier Arana — Spain's Greatest Architect

Aloha was designed by Javier Arana, widely regarded as the greatest Spanish golf course architect of the twentieth century. His work at Aloha — characterised by strategic bunkering, natural contours, and a layout that rewards intelligent play — represents some of his finest work.

II

The Central Lake

The large central lake at Aloha is one of the defining features of the course. It comes into play on several holes and creates a series of dramatic risk-reward decisions that make the round genuinely memorable. The reflections of the surrounding mountains in the still water are among the most beautiful sights in Costa del Sol golf.

III

Spanish Open Heritage

Aloha has hosted the Spanish Open on multiple occasions, cementing its reputation as one of the finest tournament venues on the Costa del Sol. The course has tested the world's best players and consistently delivered memorable professional golf.

IV

Private Club Refinement

Aloha operates as a private members' club, and the atmosphere reflects this — the clubhouse is elegant, the service is attentive, and the overall experience is one of genuine refinement. Access for visiting golfers is arranged through our team.
